Indiana Pacers stretch lead in Eastern Conference

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indiana Pacers have stretched their lead in the NBA’s Eastern Conference by knocking off the No. 2 team.

Paul George scored 15 of his 17 points while the Pacers were turning a seven-point, halftime deficit into a 90-84 victory over Miami.

Roy Hibbert finished with a team-high 24 points as Indiana improved to a league-best 19-3 and moved three games ahead of the Heat.

The San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder remain tied for second in the NBA’s Western Conference, one game behind Portland.

Manu Ginobili scored 16 points and Tony Parker added 15 in the Spurs’ 116-103 downing of the Raptors. Kevin Durant scored 30 points in the Thunder’s 11th victory in 12 games, a 101-92 win over the Hawks in Atlanta.
