‘Forrest Gump’ actor charged in wife’s fatal shooting

Actor Michael Jace has been charged with fatally shooting wife at their home in Los Angeles.

April Jace, 40, was found at the couple’s Hyde Park property at about 8:30 p.m. Monday night after police responded to reports of gunfire.

Jace was detained for questioning after the shooting and was charged early Tuesday morning. He is currently being held on $1 million bail, according to the Associated Press.

The actor is best known for his role in crime drama “The Shield” and has also appeared in “State of Play,” “Forrest Gump” and “Planet of the Apes.”

Jace and his wife were married nine years and have children.

Calls seeking comment from Jace’s agent and manager were not immediately returned.
