WWU women win, men lose in tournament play Tuesday

The Western Viking women’s basketball team beat Stanislaus State 77-60 Tuesday night at the Viking Holiday Hoops Classic.  Western got 13 points apiece from Kelsey Rogers, Lexie Bland and Gracie Castaneda. The Vikings improve to 7-3 on the year.

The Western men lost to Emmanuel College 79-76 at the D2 Power Invitational in Hawaii.  Luke Lovelady led the Vikings with 20 points in the loss.

Both the men and women are now off until the start of conference play Jan. 3rd.
