WWU women win, men lose in conference play

The Western Viking men’s basketball team lost at home to rival Seattle Pacific Thursday night 86-72. Forward Trevor Jasinsky had 20 points in the loss for Western. The Vikings fall to 7-6 on the season. They host Saint Martin’s Saturday night.

The Western women won on the road Thursday night beating Alaska Fairbanks 59-57. Sophomore Kelsey Rogers led the way with 22 for the Vikings. Western improves to 8-3 on the year. The women visit Alaska-Anchorage Saturday night.
