Western Washington University volleyball middle blocker Kayleigh Harper has been named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year. The 6-3 senior from Oak Harbor was named to the GNAC all-star team for the fourth year in a row. Fellow Viking Calley Heilborn is the conference Freshman of the Year.
Joining Harper and Heilborn on the all-star team is sophomore outside hitter Gabby Gunterman.
The Vikings are the #4 ranked team in the country. They’ll be the #2 seed at the West Regional tournament in California next week.
