WWU: Volleyball and men’s golf get wins

The Western Viking women’s volleyball team came from behind to beat Simon Fraser in five sets.  The Vikings, ranked #7 in the country, improve to 12-3 on the year and 7-0 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.  They next host Montana State Billings Saturday night.

The Western men’s golf team won their own WWU Invitational at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club Tuesday.  They beat second place Chico State by two strokes.  Viking senor Cody Roth was the highest individual finisher in fourth place at four-under-par.

The women’s golf team finished in third place at the Western New Mexico Invitational.  Viking Lacy Sheldon finished tied for third individually at -1.
