WWU men win, women lose Thursday night

The Western Washington University men’s basketball team beat Concordia Thursday night 82-66 at Carver Gym.  Western sophomore Jalen Green led the way with 24 points and 13 rebounds.  The Vikings extend their winning streak to seven games in a row improving to 11-4 on the year and 6-1 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.  They host Western Oregon Saturday night at 7:00.

The Western women lost on the road to arch-rival Central Washington 72-62.  Senior center Anna Schwecke had 19 points in the loss for the Vikings.  Western falls to 10-5 on the season and 4-3 in conference play.  They visit Northwest Nazarene Saturday night at 6:30.
