WWU men and women win Thursday night

The Western Washington University men’s basketball team beat Alaska-Anchorage on the road Thursday night 74-70.  Center Logan Schilder led the way with 17 points and 14 rebounds.  The Vikings have won five games in a row to improve toe 9-4 on the year and 4-1 in conference play.  They visit Alaska-Fairbanks Saturday afternoon at 3:15.

The Western women beat Saint Martin’s 93-47 at Carver Gym.  Anna Schwecke and Maddison Coleman had 14 points apiece for the Vikings.  Western improves to 9-4 on the season and 3-2 in the conference.  They host Seattle Pacific Saturday night at 7:00.
