WWU men and women both lose Thursday night

The Western Viking men’s basketball team lost at home to Montana State Billings Thursday night 81-72 in overtime.  The Vikings let a 16-point lead disappear in the second half.  Trevor Jasinsky had 24 points and 13 rebounds in the loss for Western.  The Vikings are off until next week.

The Western women came up short on the road falling 61-59 at Seattle Pacific.  SPU got the game-winning lay-up with seven seconds left.  Western missed a potential game-tying jumper at the buzzer.

The women visit Saint Martin’s in Lacey Saturday night.
