WSU’s O’Connell & UW’s Victor named to AP All America team

The Washington State and Washington football teams each had seniors named to the Associated Press preseason All America team Tuesday.  Cougars guard Cody O’Connell and Huskies linebacker Azeem Victor made the first team.

O’Connell is the only offensive player selected to the first team who was also a 2016 All-American.

Victor, a First-Team All-Pac-12 performer in 2016,  finished third on the team in total tackles last year despite missing 4 games with a season ending leg injury,

Washington defensive tackle Vita Vea was named to the AP’s second team.

The squads were chosen by the votes of 51 members of the AP Top 25 media panel.
