Tom Savage or DeSahun Watson…which quarterback will lead the Houston Texans?   That’s was the big question surrounding tonight’s national television match-up against the Bengals in Cincinnati.

Houston head coach Bill O’Brien decided to start the rookie Watson tonight after benching Savage at halftime of Houston’s 29-7 season opening loss to the Jaguars on Sunday. Savage went 6-of-13 for just 62 yards and had two fumbles. Watson came in and posted a 12-of-23, 102 yard, 1 touchdown and 1 interception performance.

The Texans will be without linebacker Brian Cushing who has been suspended for 10 games by the NFL for violating the league’s performance enhancer policy. The 2009 Defensive Rookie of the Year, will be eligible to return on Nov. 28.

Both teams are 0-1 on the year. Cincinnati was shutout 20-0 by the Baltimore Ravens in week one.

You can hear the Texans and Bengals on KBAY 930AM & 98.9FM. Coverage begins at 5:00pm.
