The White Rock-South Surrey baseball team ran out of offense Wednesday at the Little League World Series. White Rock tallied just one hit in a 10-0 loss to Tokyo Kitasuna out of Japan.

Three pitchers combined to throw the shutout for Japan. Yuya Nakajima and Natsuki Yajima each hit home runs as Japan rattled off 11 hits in the victory. They now advance to the International Championship game on Saturday.

White Rock’s lone hit was a single by Ty Fluet in the second inning.

The Canadian representatives are still alive. They play Mexico Thursday at noon. A win win in that game sets up a rematch with Japan in the International Championship game.
