Whatcom County prep teams going for state titles this weekend

The Sehome High School baseball team is playing in the state semifinals at County Stadium in Yakima Friday.  They take on the Fife Trojans at 4:00.

The Sehome boys soccer team also has a semifinal game Friday as they face Toppenish at 6:00 at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner.

Four Whatcom County softball teams are beginning state play Friday.  At Class 1A state in Richland Mt. Baker opens against Royal and Lynden Christian takes on Forks.  At 2A state in Selah Lynden faces Olympic and Sehome plays Tumwater.  All those opening round games get underway at noon. Winning teams move on to the quarterfinals at 4:00 while losers face loser-out games at 2:00.
