Western Washington University student joins Team USA at Winter Olympics

PYEONCHANG, SOUTH KOREA – A Western Washington University student walked in with Team USA at the Winter Olympics opening ceremony Friday night.

22-year-old Breezy Johnson will compete in the Women’s Downhill February 21st.

Johnson tells the Seattle Times her given name was Breanna, but was legally changed to Breezy after she took up skiing at age 3.

Johnson took 4th place in the World Cup February 3rd in Germany with a career-best performance.
