UW’s Thompson on Phil Steele pre-season All-America team

University of Washington linebacker Shaq Thompson has been honored as a third team selection on the recently released Phil Steele magazine pre-season All-America teams.

The junior out of Sacramento, California earned Pac-12 honorable mention in both his freshman and sophomore seasons with the Dawgs. In 26 games he has 152 total tackles, 2.5 sacks and 4 interceptions.

16 players from the PAC-12 were selected for the four teams released by Steele. Oregon and Stanford represented best with 4 players each. The Ducks had 3 players on the first team including quarterback Marcus Mariota.

Chiefs break Seahawks’ Guinness noise record

Kansas City Chiefs fans were loud Sunday, as they tried to break a world record for loudest staidum during their NFL football game against the Oakland Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013.
