Two members of the Seattle Mariners Triple-A affiliate, the Tacoma Rainiers, have been named to the Triple-A All-Star Game. First baseman Daniel Vogelbach and reliever Jean Machi made the roster that was announced Wednesday. The two will represent the Pacific Coast League. This year’s Triple-A All-Star Game will be held at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma for the first time in club history on July 12.

Machi, 35, has been the Rainiers closer for the majority of the season. He leads the team with nine saves and 2.42 ERA.

Vogelbach, 24, started this season ranked as the No. 10 prospect in the Mariners farm system by Baseball America. He is batting .292 with 28 runs scored, nine home runs and a team-best 43 RBI in 63 games this season.

The Rainiers have multiple All-Stars in the game for the sixth consecutive season. This will be Machi’s third career All-Star selection and the fourth of Vogelbach’s career.
