Tip-off: The NBA season begins tonight

Earlier than normal, the 2017-2018 NBA season begins tonight. The league will tip things off tonight with two match-ups involving arguably four of the top teams in the league.

The new look Boston Celtics will visit the defending Eastern Conference champion Cleveland Cavaliers, as Kyrie Irving squares off against his former team after demanding and receiving an off-season trade. The nightcap game features the defending champion Golden State Warriors playing host to  the Houston rockets with new point guard Chris Paul.

Tuesday’s Games
Boston at Cleveland, 5 p.m.
Houston at Golden State, 7:30 p.m.

The league is starting a week earlier In an effort to cut down on travel and to allow more recovery time for players.  The number of back-to-back games has been reduced and teams will no longer play four games in five nights.
