Three Sounders called up to US national team for WC qualifiers

Three Seattle Sounders have been called up to play for the U.S. men’s national team in World Cup qualifiers over the next two weeks. Forwards Clint Dempsey and Jordan Morris along with midfielder Cristian Roldan are part of the 26-man U.S. national team roster announced Sunday by coach Bruce Arena.

The United States squad plays Costa Rica September 1st at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. A match with Honduras follows September 5th in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

All three Sounders’ played for the national team in the Gold Cup Tournament. The U.S. beat Jamaica 2-1 in the final July 26th.
