The high school football state playoffs begin this weekend

It’s officially the start of the high school football state playoffs for a half-dozen local teams this weekend.  Friday night Lynden Christian takes on Cascade Christian at 7:00 at Civic Stsdium.  Coverage begins with a 6:35 pre-game show on AM1170 KPUG and KPUG1170.com.  Also Friday night Squalicum plays Eastside Catholic at 7:30 at Memorial Stadium in Seattle.

On Saturday Mount Baker faces Hoquiam at 2:00 at Civic Stadium.  It’s a 1:35 pre-game show on KPUG.  The Lummi Blackhawks take on Neah Bay at 4:00 at Forks High School.  Saturday at 5:30 Lynden plays Othello at Civic Stadium.  Coverage begins at 5:05 on KPUG.  And Saturday night at 6 Meridian goes on the road to play Montesano.
