Six county teams begin the state playoffs this weekend

Six Whatcom County high school football teams have state playoff openers this weekend.  Tonight’s radio game has Ferndale taking on Bethel at Civic Stadium.  That’s a 6:35 pre-game show and 7:00 kickoff on KPUG AM1170, 97.9 FM and KPUG1170-dot-com.  Also tonight Lynden visits Tumwater and Mount Baker battles La Center at Woodland High School.

Tomorrow night Meridian plays Hoquiam at Civic Stadium on KPUG.  It’s another 6:35 pre-game show and 7:00 kick.  Also Saturday Lummi hosts Rainier Christian at noon and Nooksack Valley takes on Cascade Christian at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner at 7:00.
