University of Washington linebacker Shaq Thompson has been named the 14th best player in the PAC-12 in ESPN’s PAC-12 ranking blog. On the list of national player rankings, Thompson checks in at 59th.

This is the latest praise the Junior has received as Thompson was named a first-team preseason All-American by Athlon. Thompson was also named to the preseason watch list for both the Bednarik (top defensive player) and Paul Hornung (most versatile player) Awards.

The Huskies open up their season on the road, on August the 30th, versus Hawaii.
