Several Huskies make list of top 100 players in college football

Sports Illustrated magazine has put out its list of the top 100 players in college football heading into the 2017 season.  Six Washington Huskies made the list.  Senior linebacker Azeem Victor checks in at #21.  Junior defensive lineman Vita Vea is #24. Junior running back Myles Gaskin is #36.  Bellingham’s own Taylor Rapp out of Sehome High School made the list.  The sophomore safety is at #39.  Record-setting junior quarterback Jake Browning checks in at 45.  And senior wide receiver Dante Pettis is at #70.

Two Washington State Cougars made the list with guard Cody O’Connell at #18 and quarterback Luke Falk at #79.

There were no PAC-12 players listed in the top-10. USC quarterback Sam Darnold was the top conference representative at number 11.

Florida safety Derwin James was ranked number 1, Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield was second and Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson was third.
