Seven Whatcom County high school football teams make pre-season state rankings

The Associated Press high school football pre-season state rankings have been released.  Seven Whatcom County teams are listed.

The Lummi Blackhawks are #1 in Class 1B.  Lynden is #2 in 2A.

Mount Baker checks in at #4 in Class 1A.  Also in 1A Meridian is 8th and Nooksack Valley is 10th.

In Class 3A Ferndale is #7 and Squalicum is #9.

Whatcom County’s first radio game has Mt. Baker taking on Roosevelt Friday night.  The game is being played at Meridian High School due to field repairs at Mount Baker.  It’s a 6:35 pre-game show and 7:00 kickoff on KGMI AM790 and 96.5 FM in Bellingham.
