Sehome High School has won their third straight Washington Interscholastic Activities Association 2A Scholastic Cup Championship. The Mariners join Almira Coulee Hartline, Northwest Christian, Freeman, Interlake and Mead as cup winners in the other classifications.

The award is based on academic, athletic and sportsmanship excellence. Sehome was propelled by the girls track team which won both a state championship as well as being crowned academic state champions. The boys’ cross country and tennis teams secured first-place finishes while gymnastics and dance/drill were academic state champions.

It’s the 6th overall time the Mariners have won the W.I.A.A award. Sehome is tied with Mead for the fourth most Scholastic Cup Championships all time.
