Seattle signs ex-Raider kicker Sebastian Janikowski

CenturyLink Field/Dave Walker

The Seattle Seahawks announced Friday they are signing veteran kicker Sebastian Janikowski to a one-year contract. Janikowski missed last season with a back injury but the Seahawks signed him after working him out this week. The kicker was released by the Raiders after 17 seasons in Oakland. The former Raider is 11th ranked in NFL history scoring and holds the record for field goals of 50 yards or longer. Janikowski will compete with Jason Myers to replace Blair Walsh.
