The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed linebacker Mike Morgan. Terms of the deal were not announced. The club made the move and released linebacker Arthur Brown Monday.
Morgan, who originally joined Seattle as an undrafted free agent in 2011, has played in 77 games for the Seahawks over 5 seasons. He has registered 44 total tackles, 1 sack and 1 interception.
Regarding Morgan, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is quoted on Seahawks.com saying: “He’s as dyed in the wool as you can get,” “He’s been with us for so long, and he’s always been a terrific team member. He has the flexibility to play all the spots, everything makes sense to him. He’s also a very good teammate in terms of helping his other guys around him understand, learn, and what we expect and all of that. He’s been a great player for us for a long time, and we’ve been very lucky to have him.”
The 29-year-old out of USC, was Seattle’s starting SAM linebacker in 2016, but missed seven games after after having surgery for a sports hernia.
