Seattle Seahawks back-up quarterback Trevone Boykin faces a court appearance in Dallas during the Seahawks preseason schedule in late August. According to a Seattle Times report, Boykin’s July 14th court date at Dallas County Criminal Court has been rescheduled for Tuesday, August 22nd.

Boykin, who was arraigned in May, faces misdemeanor charges for marijuana possession and public intoxication stemming from two arrests in March. The Times story says a reason for the rescheduling was not immediately given.

The Seahawks will be heading into their third week of preseason play on August 22nd, with a home game versus the Kansas City Chiefs scheduled for August 25th.

Boykin was arrested March 27th and charged with marijuana possession and public intoxication after being a passenger in a car that crashed into a bar and pedestrians in downtown Dallas. He was arrested the next week for violating his probation from a December 2015 incident, when he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor resisting arrest charge.
