Former 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick was set to work out with the Seattle Seahawks this week, but team officials postponed the trip. This was due to the quarterback declining to stop kneeling during the national anthem next season after the Seahawks asked him about his protest plans moving forward.

The trip had been planned for two weeks but was unexpectedly delayed over the Seahawks last-minute question. Kaepernick hasn’t worked out for an NFL team since he became a free agent after the 2016 season. The Seahawks are looking to fill a backup QB position after Trevone Boykin was released due to assault charges last month.
