Seattle survived a late scare from the Los Angeles Rams Sunday to get a big 16 -10 road win. Despite a slow start this season, the victory puts the Seahawks (3-2) into first place in the NFC West heading into their bye week .

“Thrilled where we are at, at this time, after kind of a start that we weren’t counting on,” said Seattle head coach Pete Carroll at his Monday press conference. “To be back in the division and have an opportunity to be in good shape for this week when we’re off, that’s important for us mentally.”

Sunday’s victory was the first road win of the year for Seattle. They won’t play again at home until October 29th when they host Houston. The Seahawks will play at the win-less New York Giants after the bye week October 22nd.
