Scores from opening night of 1A districts

The Class 1A district basketball tournament got underway Monday night.  On the boys side Mount Baker beat King’s 48-40.  The Mountaineers next visit Lynden Christian Wednesday night.  Nooksack Valley defeated Cedar Park Christian 55-37.  The Pioneers play at South Whidbey Wednesday.

In girls play Meridian beat Cedar Park Christian 67-39.  The Trojans play at Lynden Christian tonight on AM790 KGMI with a 6:45 pre-game show and 7:00 tipoff.  The Nooksack Valley girls defeated South Whidbey 57-34.  The Pioneers play at King’s tonight at 7:00.

Also Monday night in regular season action Blaine got by Bellingham 48-43, Sehome fell to Burlington 68-33 and Squalicum lost to Anacortes 61-33.
