OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma City Thunder fans no longer have to worry about losing the team’s top player.

Reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Russell Westbrook has signed a contract extension that ESPN reported is worth $205 million over five years. Westbrook averaged a triple-double last season and was the league scoring champion, averaging 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists.

He also broke Oscar Robertson’s NBA record for triple-doubles in a season.

Westbrook said he was thrilled with the offseason additions of four-time All-Star Paul George and 10-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony.
