BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A pickup truck was destroyed after it caught fire while being towed on I-5 through Bellingham Tuesday.

The semi driver from Mount Vernon was towing the pickup she was delivering to a customer in British Columbia when she noticed it was smoking.

She pulled off the freeway and into the Fred Meyer parking lot on Lakeway where the pickup became fully engulfed.

Fire crews put it out.

No one was hurt and the larger truck had only minor damage.
