Petersen announces indefinite suspension of Azeem Victor

SEATTLE – Head football coach Chris Petersen announced that senior LB Azeem Victor, who was arrested early Sunday morning, has been suspended indefinitely from the University of Washington football program.

“We take these matters very seriously, and have suspended Azeem from our team indefinitely as we continue to gather details about this incident.”

Neither Petersen, nor any other UW athletic officials will be available to offer further comment on the matter at this time.
