SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Gonzaga men’s basketball’s Josh Perkins was selected to the West Coast Conference’s All-Academic Team Wednesday.
Perkins receives the honor for the second straight season. He boasts a 3.26 cumulative grade point average and is a Sport Management major.
Perkins recently joined the 1,000-point club and is averaging a career-best 13 points per game this season for the No. 6/6 Zags (25-4, 15-1 WCC). He ranks seventh in program history with 431 career assists and is nearing the top-10 in steals with 117 in his career.
Perkins ranks fourth in the conference dishing out 5.1 assists per game and sixth with 1.3 steals per game this season. He is second in the league averaging 2.5 made three-pointers per game, at 41 percent (eighth in WCC). The redshirt junior just entered the top-10 in program history with 188 made three-pointers in his career. This season in league play, Perkins tops the WCC with a 3.7 assist-to-turnover ratio.
