Eddie Poplawski is selling the Bellingham Bells at the end of the season. Poplawski announced the sale to White Rock, B.C. businessman Glen Kirkpatrick, via e-mail Thursday.
Poplawski, who has owned the Bells for the past seven seasons, described KirkpatrickĀ as “fanatical about baseball, fully committed to building upon the platform and brand that we have worked hard to establish, and incredibly enthusiastic about supporting the team as it continues to strive to set the bar for the entire West Coast League”.
According to Bells Vice President Nick Caples, the West Coast League has already approved the sale. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Kirkpatrick co-coached the White Rock All Stars to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania back in 2015 and the Cal Ripken World series in 2016.
Caples told KPUG Kirkpatrick doesn’t want to change things up. “He wants to keep everybody here and keep the core. He wants to own and support the current operation.”
During Poplawski’s ownership tenure the Bells made the playoffs 4 times, winning the WCL Championship in 2014.
