Not guilty plea in Sedro-Woolley triple fatality

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. – A 19-year-old accused of drunk driving in a crash that killed three people pleaded not guilty Thursday in Mount Vernon to vehicular homicide charges.

KOMO reports Alfredo Navarro Jr. appeared in Skagit County Superior Court in a neck brace and wheelchair from his injuries in the May 23 crash on Highway 20 near Sedro-Woolley.

Navarro remains jailed with bail set at $1 million while he awaits the next hearing in the case.

The crash killed three people, including 21-year-old Megan Brown of Bellingham.
