OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Golden State forward Kevin Durant says his team knows that champions “don’t just lay down and die.” The Warriors have another shot at reclaiming the NBA title when they host the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of the finals tonight. Golden State leads the best-of-seven series three games to one, but the Cavs regained some momentum with a bruising Game 4 victory.

You can hear game 5 of the NBA Finals tonight on KBAI (930AM & 98.9FM). Coverage begins at 5:00pm with a 6:00pm scheduled tip-off.

Cavs coach Tyronn Lue pleased by feisty turn to Finals

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — It took the Cleveland Cavaliers four games to solve the mystery of how to beat the Golden State Warriors.

And now the Cleveland coach, Tyronn Lue, hopes that winning formula holds when the play the Warriors tonight in Game 5 of the best-of-seven series for the league championship.

There is precedent, and the history is recent. Cleveland fell behind Golden State 3-1 last year and came back to win three straight and take the title.

But the series has now moved back to the Warriors’ home court, where the 2015 champions can be even more formidable.

Lue says his team was “being too nice” at the start of the series, “helping guys up off the floor, smiling, talking to guys.” Lue didn’t like that, but says Game 4 was more like it, with seven technical fouls, a flagrant foul, and stars LeBron James and Kevin Durant jawing at each other among several dustups.
