Mitchell, Westbrook and L-C St. fall in national semis

The Lewis-Clark State men’s basketball team from Lewiston, Idaho, featuring an all-Whatcom County backcourt, lost in the semi-finals of the NAIA national playoffs in Kansas City Monday night. They fell to Carroll College 66-55.

Former Squalicum Storm stars Damek Mitchell and Josiah Westbrook are guards for Lewis Clark State. Mitchell scored eight points in Monday night’s game. Westbrook had three.

The Warriors end their season with a record of 30-7.
