According to ESPN.com, retired Seattle Seahawk Marshawn Lynch is visiting the Oakland Raiders today in his hometown. Lynch is reportedly considering a comeback. An NFL source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that a deal between the Raiders and Lynch “will eventually happen.”

Former NFL punter Pat McAfee first reported the meeting for Barstool Sports. The Seahawks still retain Lynch’s rights and other reports have said the Hawks granted permission for the visit.

Lynch last played in 2015 for Seattle. He rushed for 9,112 yards and 74 touchdowns in nine NFL seasons. Injury limited Lynch to just seven games in 2015, averaging 3.8 yards per carry. He turns 31 April 22.

Lynch filed his retirement paperwork last May and was placed on the retired/reserve list. If he decides that he wants to play again, the first thing that he needs to do is apply for reinstatement. Until Lynch does that, nothing else can happen.
