Mariners sign 29 of 40 picks from 2018 MLB Draft

SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Director of Amateur Scouting Scott Hunter announced today that the club has signed 29 of its 40 picks from the 2018 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.

The 29 signings include 7 of the top 10 selections and 25 of the top 30.

All Major League teams have until July 6, 2018 (2:00 p.m. PT) to sign drafted players with remaining college eligibility.

The Mariners selected 21 pitchers, 3 catchers, 11 infielders (6 2B, 4 SS, 1 3B) and 5 outfielders. Seattle selected 33 college players and 7 high school players.
