Mariners equipment truck rolls for Spring Training

Looking for a sign that baseball is right around the corner? The Mariners equipment truck is scheduled to leave Safeco Field Tuesday and begin making the 1,400 mile journey to the team’s spring training complex at Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Ariz., on Tuesday.

· The truck will be loaded between 9:30-10:30 a.m. PT
· The truck will depart Safeco Field at noon.

The equipment truck is scheduled to arrive at the Peoria Sports Complex on Thursday evening. The unpacking process will begin Friday morning in Peoria.

Mariners Spring Training begins in just over a week, with pitchers and catchers reporting to Peoria for physicals on Feb. 14 and participating in their first workout on Feb. 15. Position players report for physicals on Feb. 19 with the first full squad workout scheduled for Feb. 20.

The Mariners will open their 2018 Cactus League schedule, which include 32 games, on Friday, February 23 at 1:10 pm (12:10 pm PT) vs. the San Diego Padres in the annual charity game.
