The Seattle Mariners have an off day today as they await word on the injury status of Robinson Cano. The star second baseman left Wednesday’s 9-6 victory over the Braves early with tightness in his left hamstring.

According to the Associated Press, Cano walked off the field following his second double of the game in the third inning. He pulled up as he approached second base. He walked off the field, accompanied by a trainer.

There was no immediate word on the severity of the injury.

The Mariners open up a 3-game series at the Yankees on Friday night.
