Chicago evened the score at 5-5 in the bottom of the 8th on a three-run home run.

In his 6th appearance, 2nd start, of the spring, Casey Lawrence gave up 2 runs on 5 hits while walking 1 and striking out 4. Marc Rzepczynski came on in relief in the 4th inning and worked a 1-2-3 frame. Dan Altavilla struck out 1 in 1.0 scoreless inning pitched.
