Man driving past Lake Padden dies in crash

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Woodinville man is dead after a crash in the 4000 block of Samish Way Thursday afternoon.

The State Patrol believes 68-year-old John E. Waddell suffered an unknown medical issue while driving northbound before crossing the center line in his pickup and coming to rest in a ditch.

Waddell was pronounced dead at the scene.
