Lynden, LC off to state football semis

Whatcom County has two high school football teams still alive heading into the semi-finals of the state playoffs.  Lynden Christian plays undefeated Deer Park Saturday at 1:00 at Everett Memorial Stadium.  Lynden will take on 10-2 Steilacoom Saturday at 3:00 at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.

Lynden and Steilacoom met in Week 3 of the regular season with the Lions winning 56-47.  In that game Lynden running back Steven DiLorenzo rushed for a school record 320 yards.
