The Lynden Christian girls dominated the Meridian Trojans 57-25 Saturday afternoon at Mount Vernon High School. As the Lyncs move on to the State Tournament in Yakima, they have the advantage of resting day one of the Hardwood Classic and not having to play in a loser out game Wednesday. The L.C. girls will come in with fresh legs and take on a to-be-determined team Thursday at 5:30pm. Meridian, however, will face another Whatcom County showdown as they will head to the Sun Dome to take on the Nooksack Valley Pioneers in a late loser out game Wednesday at 9pm.

The Lynden Christian boys defeated Newport 91-71 at Mount Vernon High School. The Lyncs will get the luxury of resting the first day of the State Tournament and then will battle a to-be-determined team Thursday morning at 10:30am in Yakima.

The Lynden boys beat W. F. West 73-46 in a 2A Regional match-up. The Lions will next play Thursday at 1:30pm at the Sun Dome against either Fife or Columbia River. The Trojans and Chieftains will battle in a loser out game Wednesday evening to see who will advance to take on Lynden in the second round of the Hardwood Classic.
