Three wins and three losses for Whatcom County teams on day three of the State Tournament

As day two of the State Tournament got underway, the Lynden Christian boys had a close start, but ended up dominating King’s Way Christian 87-63 Thursday morning. They will advance to play the Northwest School tomorrow at 3:45pm as they continue down the road of the winner’s bracket. The Lynden girls fell to East Valley 58-38. They will move to the loser’s bracket and will take on North Kitsap in an early morning, loser out game at 9am. Coverage for that game starts at 8:45am on The Sports Leader.

The Mount Baker boys took a tough loss to Zillah 82-39. They will move to the loser’s bracket and fight for their life against King’s tomorrow at 10:30am in a loser out game. Coverage begins at 10:15am on KPUG.

This evening the Lynden Christian girls dominated Lakeside (Nine Mile) 53-30. They will take on Medical Lake in the Semifinals at 7:15pm. Coverage starts at 7pm on The Sports Leader.

The Lynden boys defeated Columbia River 44-33. They will battle Mark Morris Thursday night at 7:15pm as they continue on their journey to the Championship game. Coverage begins at 7pm on KGMI 790AM, 96.5FM and streaming online at KGMI.com.
