Lynden Christian boys and girls win 1A District Championships

The Lynden Christian boys and girls won 1A district championships in a double-header heard on KPUG Friday night. The girls played first and defeated Seattle Academy 86-47. The boys followed suit with a win over Northwest 70-64. Lyncs star Cole Bajema scored 31 points to help take down the Haus at Mountlake Terrace High School.

The Lynden girls defeated Liberty to take third place 2A districts as heard on KGMI. Keylie Hershey, Sierra Smith and Blakely Doerge had 9 points each in the 46-30 win over the Patriots.

All of these Whatcom County teams will move on to regionals which will held be Friday, February 23rd and Saturday, February 24th. Times and locations for teams will be announced Monday, February 19th.
