Lynden boys take second in 2A districts; Nooksack girls defeat Meridian in 1A districts

The Lynden boys took second after a tough loss to Liberty in the 2A district championship game at Mount Vernon High School Saturday night. The Lions fell to the Patriots 68-64 as heard on KGMI. Clayton Whitman lead the Lions with 22 points and James Marsh added 15 points.

On the girls side, Nooksack Valley took down the Meridian Trojans in a Whatcom County 1A district showdown at Lynden Christian High School. The Pioneers took third in districts with a 53-46 win over Meridian, placing the Trojans fourth.

All of these teams will move on to regionals which will be held Friday, February 23rd and Saturday, February 24th. Times and locations for teams will be announced Sunday, February 18th.
