The Seattle Seahawks will have to reshuffle their offensive line again. Starting left guard Luke Joeckel will be out a least a month following knee surgery. Coach Pete Carroll made the announcement Tuesday.

Joeckel had arthroscopic surgery during the bye week. Carroll had originally said he expected the 5th year pro to miss Seattle’s week 7 game at the New York Giants. That recovery timeline has changed.

“We’re going to be optimistic that maybe he can make it back in four or five weeks and we’ll see what happens,” said Carroll. “Maybe that’s possible and maybe that isn’t. We’ve got to see how he heals and comes back around.”

Joekel, who signed as a free agent during the off-season, has played at left guard for every snap of the Seahawks’ first five games.
